A Florida teen has been arrested after police say he allegedly killed his ex-girlfriend’s mother as an act of revenge because he was upset after being dumped.

Around 7:40 p.m. on June 27, Eulalia Gonzalez Martin De Osorio, 38, was fatally shot while standing on the front porch of her home in Homestead, according to Crime Stoppers Miami & Florida Keys.

Officers and emergency medical personnel responded to Gonzalez’s home after reports came in regarding a female being shot in the head, according to a probable cause affidavit obtained by WSVN.

First responders located Gonzalez in front of her home suffering from a gunshot wound to the head, officials said. She was reportedly lying on top of her 1-month-old daughter, who was not harmed.

Authorities said Gonzalez was holding the newborn in her arms when she was shot.

Gonzalez was in critical condition and airlifted to Jackson South Medical Center, where she succumbed to her injuries, police said.

According to an arrest report obtained by WPLG, one of Gonzalez’s neighbors told police they heard the suspect, 16-year-old Eli Zachary Shinhoster, say, “I’ll fire,” before allegedly pulling the trigger.

Officials said Gonzalez’s oldest daughter had dated Shinhoster for about nine months, but broke up with him about two months prior to her mother’s death.

Police obtained surveillance footage, which allegedly shows Shinhoster approaching Gonzalez’s home, pulling out a gun, shooting the weapon, and then fleeing on foot.

Multiple witnesses also identified him as the suspected shooter, the affidavit states.

On the morning of July 1, Shinhoster was located at his home in southwest Miami-Dade and detained by officers.

While talking with police, Shinhoster allegedly confessed to Killing Gonzalez, according to the arrest report.

The report also claims Shinhoster placed a handgun in his waistband and then took a rideshare to an area near Gonzalez’s home “in order to carry out his plan of killing one of his ex-girlfriend’s family members in order to hurt her because she ended the relationship.”

He allegedly told Gonzalez’s daughter that “if she was not with him, she could not be with anyone else,” authorities said.

After the interview and search of his home, Shinhoster was placed into the custody of the Juvenile Services Department. He was charged with one count of first-degree murder and one count of being a minor in possession of a firearm.
