A Florida teenager has been arrested after authorities said he allegedly crashed a sleepover and stabbed two victims, killing a 15-year-old boy and injuring a 48-year-old man.

Around 10 p.m. on June 1, deputies were called to a home in Wildwood and found two victims, according to the Sumter County Sheriff’s Office.

Emergency medical personnel rendered aid to both victims before they were airlifted to area hospitals for treatment.

The boy, identified as Connor Michael Gill, was pronounced dead just before 1:30 a.m. on June 2, officials said.

The adult victim has not been identified, but officials said he was listed in stable condition.

Officials identified 16-year-old Alexander Warren Hernandez as the suspect in the stabbings, and he was located with the help of the sheriff’s office helicopter.

Authorities shared photographs of a knife and what appeared to be a kama — a Japanese farming blade that resembles a small version of a scythe and is also used in some martial arts — that they alleged Hernandez used to stab the two victims.

Officials said Hernandez told them he bought the blades online.

According to authorities, Hernandez came to the home unannounced and “banged” on the door. When the teenager, Gill, unlocked the door, Hernandez forced his way in and stabbed the boy, officials claimed.

The suspect and the younger victim, who were both being homeschooled, reportedly knew one another.

A motive for the attack has not been determined.

Hernandez was arrested and charged with first degree murder, aggravated assault with a deadly weapon with intent to kill, and armed burglary, police said.
