A Tennessee man has been arrested after he allegedly used an AR-style rifle to shoot at his pregnant ex-girlfriend, according to authorities.

According to police, officers were called to a home in Cordova for a reported altercation, WMC-TV reported.

Deputies said two people got into an argument and a woman left for her vehicle, which had a passenger inside.

That is when shots were fired from an AR-style rifle into her Dodge Challenger, WMC-TV reported.

Officials said no one was injured in the shooting, but there were several bullet holes in the vehicle.

The woman was sent to a nearby hospital to get looked at since she is 17 weeks pregnant, WHBQ-TV reported.

Police arrested 19-year-old London Margerum and charged him with two counts of attempted first-degree murder and employing a firearm during a dangerous felony, authorities said.

Margerum reportedly told police he owned the gun, but he denied firing any shots.

His bond was set at $500,000.
