A Tennessee man told his wife that he wanted a divorce, so she and her daughter allegedly attacked him with a cast-iron skillet and knife, according to authorities.

Deputies recently responded to a call in Ashland City after the man asked a neighbor to call 911, according to an affidavit obtained by WSMV.

Body camera footage from the Cheatham County Sheriff’s Office shows deputy arriving at the scene and approaching a shirtless man who was “bleeding profusely from the head” and sitting on a neighbor’s porch.

When the deputy asked if he was okay, the injured man responded, “I’ve had better days.”

The victim told police that he told his wife, later identified as 62-year-old Pam Davis, that he wanted to divorce her, which caused his wife and daughter, 29-year-old Kelly Davis, to attack him with a frying pan and knife, officials said.

He said he and his wife “argued for several hours” after he broke the divorce news, but then he went to bed. The mom and daughter, he claimed, according to police, allegedly attacked him while he slept, so he ran to the neighbor’s house for safety.

Police went to the alleged victim’s home and found the man’s wife and daughter both inside on the floor crying, officials said.

Authorities noted there was “lots of blood” inside the residence and both women had suffered lacerations to their arms.
