A man is accused of killing his wife, whose remains were found in a burned car, according to a report.
Brandon Clay Carrier was charged on Nov. 21 with first-degree murder for the death of his wife, Shannon Marie Isaacs, according to WCYB.
The investigation started in Carter County, Tennessee, on Aug. 23 when the victim’s remains were found in a burned vehicle, according to the report.
Deputies concluded their investigation on Nov. 10 when they presented their evidence to a grand jury. The panel also indicted Carrier on charges of abuse of a corpse, setting fire to personal property and two counts of tampering with evidence.
Police said Carrier was a suspect from early in the investigation, but they did not release further details.
Carrier was already in jail on an unrelated issue.
