According to an arrest report, reviewed by Law&Crime, the three women were “saying their goodbyes” outside the Dr. Liam restaurant in Homestead, Florida, on the night of April 17 when the incident occurred. At the same time, the women were standing outside the restaurant, and Morales, who none of them knew, pulled up to them in her black Tesla. One of the women told police that Morales reportedly addressed them from her car, asking, “You all good?”
One of the women responded to Morales, saying, “Yes, we're good. Are you good?” according to authorities.
Morales then allegedly replied "Yes,.. But it looks like you have a problem.” A witness later told police that Morales opened the car door and asked the woman, “What are you going to do about it? “
According to the arrest report, the woman verbally confronted Morales while another witness told them to get away because Morales had a gun. Police said that Morales fired two shots, hitting two of the women. A physical altercation ensued as one of the women “lunged” at Morales in an attempt to knock the gun away from her. The alleged fight ended when police arrived and separated the women from Morales.
Authorities read Morales her rights, however, after that, she told police that she did not remember what happened, except that she was “firing for her life.” Police said she admitted to having three alcoholic beverages before the alleged shooting incident.
Morales was charged with two counts of aggravated battery with a deadly weapon, three counts of aggravated assault with a forearm, one count of using a firearm and two misdemeanors. Morales is currently in custody at the Turner Guilford Knight Correctional Center. The court has ordered her to be held there without bond.
Morales is scheduled to appear in court again on April 22 and will be arraigned on May 18.
