A heated argument at a birthday party in Texas ended with one brother being stabbed to death and the second brother arrested for his murder, police said.

Around 7 p.m. on Oct. 3, the San Antonio Police Department said they were dispatched to a home after a stabbing was reported.

Once at the house, officers said the suspect fled with a female friend and her relative in a silver or white SUV.

Medical personnel arrived at the scene and attended to the victim, 30-year-old Isaac Aguilar, officials said.

According to authorities, Aguilar and the suspect, 28-year-old Angel Nathan Gonzales, got into a heated argument before Gonzales pulled out a knife and stabbed Aguilar several times.

The two men were brothers and police have not said what led to the argument.

Police said Aguilar was rushed to the hospital, where he died from his injuries.

A warrant was issued for Gonzales’ arrest and on Oct. 9 he was arrested and charged with the murder of Aguilar, police said. He was booked into the Bexar County Jail, officials said.
