A Texas homeowner was trying to break up an argument outside his home between two houseguests, but police say it ended with one man being fatally stabbed.
Once at the scene, police said they found a deceased male in his late 40s on the front lawn of the home.
The deceased male was the homeowner and police said he went outside to break up a fight between two guests of the home, inForney.com reported.
The suspect, 38-year-old Charles Turner, also received stab-related injuries during the incident and was taken to a Dallas-area hospital for treatment, officials said. He was one of the houseguests at the victim's home.
