Mom Admitted To Keeping Child Out Of School To Hide Signs Of Abuse, Cops Say. Now, The Boy Is Dead.

A mom kept her child out of school to hide evidence of abuse and neglected to get medical attention for the 7-year-od.
Now the boy is dead, and the mom and her boyfriend face charges.
Police in Denton, Texas, announced the arrest of Sabina Ho and Todd Shaw in connection to the death of Phoenix Ho. Phoenix was a second-grader at a school in Denton.
Both suspects were charged with injury to a child, according to Denton police.
On April 1, police, police were called to a home for a child have a medical emergency. Medics took the child to the hospital and notified police that the victim had extensive injuries.

Phoenix Ho was pronounced dead at the hospital, according to police.
During an interview with Sabrina Ho, she admitted she was aware of ongoing physical abuse by Shaw, according to Denton police. She also said she kept Phoenix out of school and neglected to seek medical attention.
“Tragedies such as this one touch our entire community,” Denton police said in a statement. “This death is a painful reminder of what we are all fighting to prevent during this April Child Abuse Awareness Month.
