Teen Admitted To Stabbing A Sleeping Person To Death, According To A Report

A man initially said an unknown person attacked him with a knife.

However, police determined he was actually the attacker and had just stabbed a sleeping person to death, according to a report.

On March 30, police in Laredo, Texas, received a call from a man who said he was involved in a stabbing. The caller was later identified as Tomas Alejandro Aguilar, 18.

Aguilar told officers that he was attacked by an unknown person, according to Laredo police.

He was taken to a hospital in stable condition.

Police investigated his claims and were led to a home where a man was dead inside. The victim was identified as Oscar Oswaldo Bedarte, 42, according to Laredo police.

Aguilar was released from the hospital and questioned about his description, which did not match the evidence. Aguilar changed his story and said he knew Bedarte and the other person in the incident wasn’t unknown.

Aguilar also said he stabbed Bedarte multiple times as he slept, police noted. But investigators have not released a motive for the alleged fatal attack.

Police arrested Aguilar and charged him with murder. He is being held in jail without bond.
