A man followed a car after an altercation and started to shoot. A bullet killed one woman and now police say they charged the alleged shooter with murder.
Police in Lubbock, Texas, responded to a hospital around 4:15 a.m. on Sept. 18 after a woman came in with a gunshot wound.
Alexandria Garcia, 22, was then pronounced dead at the hospital, police said.
Investigators determined that Garcia and three others were at a business and got into an altercation with Lee McKine Jr. McKine then started to shoot a gun, police said.
Garcia and the others left in a vehicle and McKine followed them. He fired additional rounds, and at that point, Garcia was shot, police said. The victim was then driven to the hospital.
Police did not say what the altercation was about.
McKine was charged with murder after he was arrested for an unrelated traffic violation hours after the shooting.
