An Argument In The Parking Garage Of An Apartment Complex Turned Deadly, Authorities Say

An argument in a parking garage turned deadly and now one man faces a murder charge, police said.

This week, police in Mesquite, Texas, announced the arrest of 27-year-old Lawrence Caston.

Around 8 a.m. on Nov. 12, police responded to the parking garage of an apartment complex for reported gunfire. When officers arrived, they found a man shot.

He was taken to the hospital, where he was pronounced dead.

The victim was identified as Anthony Matlock, according to police.

Investigators identified Caston as a suspect. Authorities said he did not know the victim and the shooting happened after an argument in the parking garage. There was no word on what the argument was over.
