A Car Pulled Up Next To A Man And Opened Fire. Police Say The Victim's Stepdaughter Was The Shooter.
A woman is accused of fatally shooting her stepfather and was arrested nearly two years after the alleged crime.
Police in San Antonio, Texas, accused Julie Ann Banda of murder in connection to the shooting death of her father Carlos Chavez, 49, according to KSAT.
The shooting happened on April 21, 2020, in San Antonio, according to the report.
Investigators said Chavez was in front of his home when a silver car pulled up next to him, according to KSAT. Then, Chavez was shot multiple times. Police found him wounded on the sidewalk.
He was taken to the hospital, where he died.
Cell phone records showed Banda talking with Chavez before his death, according to the report. The shooting was reported three minutes after Banda told Chavez she was outside.
A motive for the shooting has not been released. Banda is being held in jail, and bond was set at $150,000, according to the report.
