The arrest report stated her boyfriend, 30-year-old Adrian Devon Grissom, admitted he was yelling in Winn’s face when she took the handgun from her purse and told him to back up, CBS 19 reported.

Grissom said he did not back up but pushed Winn to the ground as she was pulling the gun out of her purse. He then tried to get the gun away from her, according to CBS 19.

Winn was then crawling away with the gun, as Grissom and she continued to fight for it. Grissom said he finally gained control of it and pushed Winn away, CBS 19 reported.

As he pushed her away, Grissom said his finger was inside the trigger of the gun, which he then pulled and fired the gun one time. He admitted to police that he shot Winn and killed her, according to CBS 19.
