Man Accused Of Stabbing Dad To Death On Father's Day, Leaving Mom Critically Injured

A man is accused of stabbing his dad to death on Father’s Day and injuring his mom, police said.
Around 1:30 a.m. on June 19, police in Texarkana, Texas, responded to a murder at a home.
Police say that Michael Paxton, 65, was found dead at the scene, according to police. Paxton’s wife, a 65-year-old woman, was taken to the hospital, where she is in critical condition.
The couple’s son, Shaun Paxton, was arrested at the scene.
Investigators said they are trying to figure out what led to the deadly stabbing, according to police.
Shaun Paxton was charged with murder and aggravated assault. He is being held in a Texas jail.
