The horrific incident happened at a home in the village of Priyutovo in the Republic of Bashkortostan.
During a party at the home, the 22-year-old mother, identified by police only as "Aida," reportedly began arguing with her husband "Viktor," 28, after accusing him of having an affair, the Daily Mirror reported.
As the disagreement became heated, Viktor reportedly stormed out as Aida continued drinking alcohol. That's when the couple's son began crying in the next room, investigators said.
Aida then reportedly roamed the streets for a while before asking a pedestrian to call an ambulance for her son.
When paramedics arrived, they found the toddler in a pool of blood, the Mirror and the Daily Star reported. During a call to the police, the emergency crew could be heard saying, "Oh my God! His intestines are coming out!"

The little boy was rushed to a hospital with severe knife wounds to his intestines. Doctors were able to stitch his wounds and he survived, local media reports said.
Aida was taken into custody for an interrogation. She later claimed she attacked her child as revenge against her husband for leaving during their argument, and because he "didn't stop crying and interrupted her drinking session," the Daily Star reported.
