Investigators identified Galvan as the suspect. His girlfriend was walking back to their apartment when the victim tried to flirt with her, police said. Witnesses said the woman told Galvan about the incident.

Galvin went to get a knife and left. When he returned, he told witnesses that he stabbed a person, police noted.

Galvin fled before police arrived but was later arrested.
