Two Idaho Men Sentenced for Luring Teen to ‘Photo Shoot’ and Brutally Assaulting Him

Two men from Idaho get prison time after they assault and beat a young teen.
Prosecutors have shared that, through a planned attack, two Idaho men were sentenced to prison on May 22. They admitted they had lured an 18-year-old to a fake motorcycle photo shoot before kidnapping, beating, and repeatedly tasing him during the incident.
Ada County District Judge Nancy Baskin sentenced Devin Larson, 21, of Eagle, to seven years in prison with two years fixed. Steen Thomas Lamb, 22, of Meridian, received 13 years with three years fixed. Both men pleaded guilty to second-degree kidnapping in the September 5, 2025, assault.
The judge also granted both defendants a rider, which allows the court to review its sentences after a period of retained jurisdiction.
Authorities said the victim, Jordan Carrillo, arranged the meeting through social media after believing he would meet a photographer interested in taking pictures of his motorcycle.
Investigators said Carrillo arrived at a subdivision under construction in Eagle, where Larson was waiting. After taking one photo, Larson told Carrillo to turn around. According to court records, moments later, Lamb appeared behind him and used a stun gun.
Victim Was Kept for an Hour-Long Assault

Court documents state the two men zip-tied Carrillo’s wrists and ankles and covered him with a bag before repeatedly kicking, punching, and tasing him. Carrillo told investigators the assault went on for about an hour.
During the attack, Lamb allegedly pressed a gun against Carrillo’s chest and threatened to kill him unless he broke up with his girlfriend.

Authorities said the men then took Carrillo’s phone and sent messages to the girlfriend ending the relationship on his behalf. Before releasing him, the pair threatened to kill Carrillo or members of his family if he reported the crime to police, investigators said. Carrillo later told authorities he feared he would be shot while he was running away from the scene.
Prosecutors Call it a Planned Attack
Both accused have been sentenced to jail for 7 and 13 years, respectively.
Ada County Prosecutor Jan Bennetts said the victim showed courage by coming forward despite the threats.
“I commend the victim’s courage in reporting this crime given the death threats intended to silence him,” Bennetts said in a statement.
“This was a planned, calculated attack on a young man who had no idea what was coming,” she added. “The defendants used deception, violence, and fear to control their victim — and then threatened his family to ensure his silence. That kind of conduct demands accountability, and today’s sentence delivers it.”
The investigation was carried out together by the Star Police Department, Eagle Police Department, and Ada County Sheriff’s Office for their joint investigation.
