Victoria Police Investigate Ruby Rose Allegations Against Katy Perry

Police investigates Katy Perry after Ruby Rose's accusations
Victorian police have opened an investigation into a reported s**ual assault from 2010 after Australian actress Ruby Rose made serious claims against pop star Katy Perry. Detectives confirmed they are examining an “alleged historical assault” said to have taken place at a licensed venue in Melbourne’s central business district.
The case is being overseen by the S**ual Offences and Child Abuse Investigation Team. Police said the matter is active and declined to comment further.
Rose first shared her claims in a now-deleted social media post. She later said she had formally reported her experiences to the police. On April 14, at night, she issued another a final update. It read: “As of this afternoon, I have finalized all of my reports. This means I am no longer able to comment, repost, or talk publicly about any of those cases, or the individuals involved.”
She added that the request came from the police and said it brought some relief to her. “I can start the healing process now,” she said.

Ruby Rose has accused Katy Perry of se*ual assault for a 2010 incident
Katy Perry has strongly denied the allegations. A spokesperson for the singer said the claims are “categorically false,” and described them as “dangerous, reckless lies.” The statement also said Rose had a “well-documented history” of making public accusations that others have denied.
The alleged incident occurred at a Melbourne nightclub in August 2010. According to Rose, the assault happened after the pair arrived together at the venue. She described the incident in graphic terms in her original post.
A former manager of the nightclub, Spice Market, said he saw both women that night, and they appeared to be drunk. However, he said he was not aware of any assault incident at the time.
The allegations have drawn renewed attention to the pair’s past interactions. In 2010, they made headlines after appearing unannounced at a Melbourne High School formal. Later, Rose spoke positively about Perry in interviews, though their relationship always seemed friendly over time.
