Popular video game streamer accused of sexual assault against children, police say

A popular video game player who streams to hundreds of thousands of followers across social media has been accused of sexual assault against children.
Raulino de Oliveira Maciel was arrested last week in Brazil, according to media reports and police officials in the South American country.
Maciel has nearly 150,000 followers on his YouTube channel and another 100,000 on Twitch, a social media platform. His YouTube page notes it’s made up of “child talent.”
Video game players will often stream their games online for others to follow along.

According to investigators, the mom of one victim said the suspect abused her son between February and May.
'Another child, who was under 12 years old, said he was also abused.
The victims were between 10 and 14 years old and worked in theater, film and TV, according to police.
Marciel promised jobs and work at a major TV station to his victims, according to investigators. He made his promises through his Instagram page.
