The release of the Epstein Files has reignited conspiracy theories about the disgraced financier. The convicted s– offender died by suicide in his prison cell in August 2019; however, multiple conspiracy theorists believe that he is still alive and hiding from the public eye.

These speculations, which lack any evidence, were further fueled recently when a video of a Jeffrey Epstein lookalike went viral on social media. On March 13, Florida resident Andrew Posey posted a video showing a man who appeared to resemble Epstein driving a car in South Florida.

The man was seen wearing sunglasses and a backward baseball cap as he drove around in a convertible. “Epstein out here in South Florida,” Posey captioned the clip. The video was soon picked up by multiple accounts and spread widely on the internet.

Jeffrey Epstein’s lookalike puts speculation to rest.

The footage led some people to believe that Epstein was still alive, and his death was a cover-up. However, the man spotted in the video has now come forward to quash all rumors. On March 19, the Epstein lookalike posted a video explaining his side of the story.

He introduced himself as Palm Beach Pete and made it clear that he has nothing to do with the child trafficker. Pete explained that someone filmed him without his knowledge while he was driving.

“Hey, everybody, this is Palm Beach Pete. And my video went viral because some dude randomly filmed me while I was driving on I-95, unbeknownst to me. And the next thing I know, I’m a viral sensation,” the lookalike said.

Talking about all the attention he has received after going viral, Pete said, “I had my phone down for about four hours and didn’t know my phone was blowing up with all these comments from that video. So, it got a lot of traction. It’s pretty crazy. Thanks.” In the video, a person is heard asking him, “So, you’re not Jeffrey Epstein?” Pete then replies, “I’m not Jeffrey Epstein. I’m Palm Beach Pete.”

Conspiracy Theories About Epstein

Conspiracy theories about Epstein being alive have been floating on the internel.

This is not the first time that claims of Epstein being alive have surfaced online. A few days earlier in March, a picture of a bearded man resembling Epstein was widely circulated on X. The image showed him walking in Tel Aviv, Israel, with two other men. Though the image initially raised eyebrows, it was later revealed to be AI-generated.

Epstein was awaiting trial on s– trafficking charges when he died in August 2019. His death was ruled a suicide. However, his family still suspects foul play. A few days earlier in March, reports came out that Epstein’s prison guard had googled him just minutes before his death, a move many consider suspicious.

Experts have also raised questions over why prison guards were not constantly checking up on the high-profile criminal as per the standard procedure of the prison. However, these claims and theories remain unverified.
