A man has been arrested in connection with a vulnerable adult who recently was found dead in a South Carolina residence the two shared, police said.
According to officers, the elderly man’s body showed signs of rigor mortis.
Police noted the home was in disarray, with trash and papers littering the bedroom that had a bed infested with bed bugs and soiled with bodily fluids.
Moore allegedly told detectives he was taking care of the man, including by administering his medication.

Moore was arrested on Aug. 1, and charged with abuse or neglect of a vulnerable adult resulting in death, The Post and Courier reported.
He was being held on $50,000 bail at the Dorchester County jail.
