A Washington woman was arrested after she allegedly allowed the father of her 10-year-old daughter to rape the girl at least six times last year, according to authorities.

Dawn Manby, 44, was charged with criminal conspiracy to commit first-degree rape of a child, first-degree incest, violation of a protection order and making false or misleading statements to a public servant and was being held on a $75,000 bond. She pleaded not guilty to the charges against her this week, KOZE reported.

Manby was arraigned Monday and remains in the Asotin County Jail on a $75,000 bond. A bond review is scheduled for next Tuesday in Superior Court.

Court documents obtained by Big Country News claim the daughter was in foster care last year after she was removed from the mother’s care due to alleged drug use as well as officials' suspicion that the mother, identified as Manby, was allowing her husband, 43-year-old Grant Yeaman, to visit the home.

The daughter reportedly told her foster mother that while she was with her biological mother, Yeaman had visited her several times and allegedly raped her, court documents claimed.

The foster family reported the claims to police and detectives launched an investigation.

Yeaman has a prior conviction in Idaho for raping a child in 2006, and court documents show he had a restraining order against him in 2022 due to previous concerns over suspected sexual abuse of the child. Because of the incident, Yeaman was prohibited from having any contact with his daughter.

Yeaman denied he went to the girl’s home, claiming he was in a sober living home in Spokane, according to court documents. He also said the facility had cameras and didn’t allow residents to leave at night.

The facility’s director, however, informed police there were no cameras at the sober living home and residents were allowed to leave overnight. The director also told authorities he personally approved visits for Yeaman to visit his wife.

Detectives reportedly found Yeaman’s DNA on his daughter’s bedding and they believe he allegedly sexually assaulted the girl on six instances between April and October 2022, according to Big Country News and the court documents.

On Sept. 6, Yeaman was arrested and booked into the Asotin County Jail, officials said.
