An English man allegedly phoned emergency services and admitted he killed his wife after the couple got into an argument on their fifth wedding anniversary, prosecutors claimed.
Just before 2 a.m. on Aug. 30, 2022, Mihiai Hurmuz-Irimia, 29, claimed on the call that he went “crazy” after his head “went boom” and then stabbed his wife, Katie Hurmaz-Irimia, 40, at a home in Wallingford, Oxfordshire,The Mirror reported.
An autopsy later determined Katie suffered 171 stab wounds, mostly to her chest, neck and back, from two separate blades.
Prosecutors claimed at trial that before the murder, the couple were celebrating their fifth wedding anniversary with a trip to Bournemouth.
