While there, the prosecution said, Katie told Mihiai their marriage would be “truly over” after they returned from the trip, which she said he was guilty of “ruining.”

Days later, prosecutors said, Katie was dead and Mihiai called emergency dispatch and allegedly told an operator: “I need to be locked up. I’m crazy.” He allegedly claimed he “blacked out.”
