Wisconsin Teen Who Murdered Parents to Fund Trump Assassination Plot Sentenced to Life

District Attorney Lesli Boese told the judge on March 5 that Nikita Casap was too dangerous to be ever released from prison.
A Wisconsin teenager who shot his parents to death in a plot to steal their money and assassinate President Donald Trump using a bomb dropped from a drone was sentenced to life in prison on March 5.
Nikita Casap pleaded guilty in January to two counts of first-degree intentional homicide in Waukesha County Circuit Court in connection with the 2025 killings of his mother, Tatiana Casap, and stepfather, Donald Mayer. Prosecutors dropped seven other charges as part of a plea deal, including two counts of hiding a corpse and theft, according to The Associated Press.
Authorities claim Casap wrote a three-page manifesto expressing white supremacist views.
Casap’s Plan
According to court documents, Casap murdered his parents at their home in the village of Waukesha on or around February 11. He allegedly lived with the decomposing bodies for about two weeks before fleeing in his stepfather’s SUV with cash and other valuables, including the family's pet dog. Investigators said he placed candles near the bodies before fleeing.
Police tracked Casap down in Kansas on February 28, after four days on the run. Investigators later said the 18-year-old had been planning to assassinate Trump using a bomb dropped from a drone.
In his plan to “overthrow the U.S. government”, Casap allegedly bought a drone and explosives and shared the plan with other individuals, including a person who spoke Russian.
“The killing of his parents appeared to be an effort to obtain the financial means and autonomy necessary to carry out his plan,” the arrest warrant said.
Officials said Casap lost several dollars when he attempted to purchase a drone and was scammed.

Casap’s plan involved him mounting an AK-47 rifle on a drone, dropping explosives on Trump and fleeing by ship to Ukraine. Casap planned to go into hiding for 10 years.
Casap Not Eligible for Parole, Judge Rules
Waukesha County Circuit Judge Ralph Ramirez called Casap’s crimes “horrific” and “inexplicable” while handing down the life sentence without the possibility of parole. He said the chances of Casap changing were extremely small.
“I choose to find he’s not eligible for extended release because I do not know … when and if and whether a profound and significant change can occur,” Ramirez said.
Casap’s Defense
Casap’s attorney, Paul Rifelj, told the court, “Children are more than their worst deeds.” He urged the judge to grant his client the possibility of parole in 20 years.
“I thought I was part of a revolution. I thought I was part of a war. I told myself bad things had to happen,” a teary-eyed Casap said in the court.
He said that he loved his mother and constantly "worried about her".
