Man Found Stabbed To Death In Wyoming, Woman Charged In Connection To Homicide

A woman faces a homicide charge for stabbing a man to death earlier this week, according to reports.

Around 5:30 a.m. on Aug. 8, deputies from the Laramie County Sheriff’s Office in Wyoming responded to Mitchell Court for a report of a man stabbed.

When deputies arrived, they found a victim with stab wounds, according to the sheriff’s office. The man was taken to the hospital, where he was pronounced dead.

The victim was later identified as 58-year-old Jess Smith, according to the Wyoming Tribune Eagle.

Police identified Rocsand Bocanegra as a suspect and asked for the public’s help finding her. She was apprehended later in the week, according to the Tribune Eagle.

Authorities have not released a motive in the case or said if Bocanegra knew the victim.
