An X video shows former JPMorgan Chase banker Chirayu Rana and executive Lorna Hajdini dining together at a restaurant in New York City.

In the short clip, the two appear friendly and relaxed, smiling as they talk, with Rana at times placing his hand on Hajdini’s shoulder while looking at his phone as she holds a wine glass. “Oh, s*it, they are on a date,” a man can be heard saying in the background.

However, the authenticity of the video has not been independently verified by major news organizations.

The clip resurfaced amid Rana’s explosive lawsuit accusing Hajdini, 37, of drugging him and holding him as a ‘s-x slave,’ allegations she and JPMorgan Chase strongly deny.

The lawsuit itself has faced intense backlash online, with critics accusing Rana of fabricating the claims.

Chirayu Rana Spotted in NYC Street-Fashion Video

The restaurant video was not the only clip of Rana making the rounds online. A separate street-fashion video from 2024 also resurfaced amid the controversy.

Rana appeared in a popular TikToker’s feed for his suit style. The 35-year-old was randomly captured on camera while walking the streets of Midtown Manhattan by Michaela Bublikova, aka ‘Suittok girl,’ according to The New York Post.

Although she didn’t interact with Rana, she felt his style fit well with her fashion series. “When I saw him, I thought that he was a good example of the fashion and style that @dudesinsuitsnyc is all about,” she said of the resurfaced clip that has since gone viral.

In the video, Rana is seen standing in a crosswalk waiting for a pair of bicyclists to pass before crossing East 54th Street at Park Avenue in New York City. He is dressed in a dark suit without a tie, paired with black dress shoes and wearing his earpods.

“With (a) suit like that, the story is definitely true,” joked an Instagram user. “He looks good here which is why this lady was recording him in the first place,” added another user.

Chirayu Rana’s Father Lends His Support

Amid the viral speculation online, Rana’s father briefly addressed the allegations and defended his son. The banker’s father claimed that he was unaware of what was happening as he had not spoken to his son for a few days.

“I don’t know anything about it. He didn’t talk with us or anything,” the dad said. “He’s my son. He’s a good guy,” he added, The New York Post reported.

Who is Chirayu Rana?

Rana, who filed the lawsuit anonymously as “John Doe,” had left his new role at Bregal Sagemount weeks before the allegations were made public.

According to the company’s website, Rana served as a Principal and was responsible for “origination and underwriting investments across the software, healthcare, financial technology, business services, and consumer services sectors.”

Before joining JPMorgan Chase, Rana also worked at Morgan Stanley Investment Management and The Carlyle Group. He earned a B.S. in Finance from Rutgers Business School at Rutgers University.
