Epstein’s Alleged Suicide Note Unsealed by Judge, Reveals Chilling Four-Word Message

Judge Kenneth M. Karas of the Southern District of New York unsealed the note on May 6.
Jeffrey Epstein’s purported suicide note has finally been declassified. A few days ago, Eptsein’s former cellmate, Nicholas Tartaglione, claimed that he had discovered the s– offender’s suicide letter before his death. Tartaglione said he shared the note with his lawyers, after which it was submitted in court and sealed by a federal judge.
Following a petition by the New York Times, Judge Kenneth M. Karas of the Southern District of New York unsealed the note on May 6. The handwritten note begins with Epstein allegedly stating that years of investigation into him have not yielded any results.
What the Alleged Suicide Note Says
The handwritten note begins with Epstein allegedly stating that years of investigation into him have not yielded any results.
“They investigated me for months — FOUND NOTHING!!!” the note reads. Epstein apparently added that he had chosen when he wanted to leave this world and that he would not cry. “It is a treat to be able to choose one’s time to say goodbye. Watcha want me to do — Bust out cryin!! NO FUN — NOT WORTH IT!!” the note says.
The note has not been authenticated as of now. It was not released in the recently declassified Epstein files because the letter had remained sealed all these years. Tartaglione shared a cell with Epstein shortly before the latter’s suicide. He is a former cop who has been convicted of murdering four people.
According to Tartaglione, he found the note in July 2019 after Epstein’s first alleged suicide attempt. On the night of July 23, 2019, the disgraced financier was found unconscious in his cell with injuries to his neck. As authorities investigated what happened, Epstein claimed his cellmate, Tartaglione, had tried to kill him.
Tartaglione denied the accusation, and Epstein later retracted the claim. He was then moved to a different cell. Meanwhile, Tartaglione said he found the note and shared it with his lawyers to prevent Epstein from blaming him if he attempted to harm himself again. On August 10, 2019, Epstein was found dead in his cell, hanging off the side of his bed with a noose around his neck. His death was ruled a suicide.
Congressman Pushed for the Note’s Release

After Tartaglione publicly announced that Epstein had allegedly left a suicide note, lawmakers also pressured Judge Karas to release it. Illinois representative and House Oversight Committee member Raja Krishnamoorthi wrote a letter to the Department of Justice (DOJ), demanding the unsealing of the letter.
“I write to demand that the Department of Justice work with U.S. District Judge Kenneth Karas to unseal a purported suicide note attributed to Jeffrey Epstein. This note must be immediately reviewed and publicly released to aid federal officials who are investigating Jeffrey Epstein and the circumstances around his death,” he wrote.
There has been renewed scrutiny over Epstein’s death ever since the DOJ released millions of documents related to the child trafficker. Though his death was officially ruled a suicide, conspiracy theorists believe that he was murdered. Epstein’s brother has echoed similar doubts, maintaining that he did not take his own life. With the release of the suicide note, the debate around his death is likely to intensify again.
