“Every Minute I Spent With Him, I Regret"—Bill Gates to Testify in Epstein Probe

Bill Gates is set to testify before the US Congress as part of the ongoing investigation into Jeffrey Epstein, with several high-profile figures also facing scrutiny.
As the investigation into Jeffrey Epstein continues, Microsoft co-founder Bill Gates is set to testify before the U.S. Congress regarding his past relationship with the convicted s-- offender.
The House Oversight Committee is leading the probe, with deposition videos of former Secretary of State Hillary Clinton and former President Bill Clinton already released in February. Several other high-profile individuals have also been subpoenaed to testify.
Gates is scheduled to appear on June 10, following a letter issued by the committee on March 3 requesting his testimony.

“While he never witnessed or participated in any of Epstein’s illegal conduct, he is looking forward to answering all the committee’s questions and supporting their important work,” a spokesperson for the philanthropist said in a statement, according to Sky News.
Although Gates has not been accused of any wrongdoing, his name appears multiple times in the Epstein files, prompting the committee to seek his testimony on whether he witnessed any crimes linked to the late financier. However, this does not imply any criminal liability.
The Department of Justice released more than 3 million documents related to Epstein, some of which include email exchanges between Epstein and Gates. Photographs of Gates were also made public.
Gates has consistently maintained that his association with Epstein was strictly philanthropic and has expressed regret over their meetings.
“Every minute I spent with him, I regret,” he told Australia’s 9News.
During a meeting with staff at his charitable foundation, Gates addressed questions about his ties to Epstein and said he “took responsibility for his actions.”
“Bill spoke candidly, addressing several questions in detail,” the Gates Foundation said in a statement.
The Microsoft co-founder will sit for a transcribed interview before the Committee on June 10.
According to The Wall Street Journal, Gates also apologised to staff and acknowledged having two affairs with Russian women, while maintaining, “I did nothing illicit. I saw nothing illicit.”
In a statement to the BBC, a spokesperson reiterated that Gates never attended parties with Epstein and was not involved in any criminal activity related to him.
“While Mr Gates acknowledges that meeting with Epstein was a serious error in judgment, he unequivocally denies any improper conduct related to Epstein and the horrific activities in which Epstein was involved,” the statement said.
Commerce Secretary Howard Lutnick and former Attorney General Pam Bondi are expected to testify in the coming weeks.
President Donald Trump recently fired Bondi, with some speculating that the decision may be linked to her handling of the Epstein Files. “I remain eternally grateful for the trust that President Trump placed in me to Make America Safe Again,” Bondi said in a statement following her sacking.

The Epstein Files are a collection of millions of documents, images, videos, and emails detailing the activities of the child s-- offender, including his social circle of public figures, politicians, and celebrities.
Elon Musk, Mick Jagger, Michael Jackson, Andrew Mountbatten-Windsor, Richard Branson, Alan Dershowitz, Bruce Willis, and several other high-profile individuals have been mentioned in the files.
