While Frymire was being booked into the Polk County Jail, he was scanned with a full-body scanner designed to detect contraband, such as hidden drugs or weapons. During the scan, the correctional officers spotted a full-sized thermos inside Frymine’s body. The local sheriff later explained that the thermos had entered Frymire’s body a day earlier through what he described as “the exit ramp.”

During Frymire’s treatment at a local hospital, the thermos was extracted. The discovery of the item did not result in additional charges, since it is not illegal to have a thermos stashed inside a body cavity.

Charges on Frymire

Frymire was initially charged with drug possession related to the meth pipe and with threatening a sheriff’s deputy. He was held in custody since October and was sentenced to 180 days in jail. After serving about five months, he was released on March 11 following the plea agreement. As part of the deal, prosecutors dropped the felony charge against him.

Frymire has an extensive criminal record that includes numerous stays in county and state correctional facilities. Records show he has previously been accused of spitting on correctional officers and breaking sprinkler systems.
