The aforementioned outlet further noted that the pair was later confronted by the victim, prompting them to return the luxury items.
The Breakers also addressed the stealing incident in a statement shared with the above-mentioned outlet.
"The Breakers Palm Beach places the highest priority on the safety and security of our team members and guests. Unfortunately, with this incident, a guest left their guestroom door ajar; another couple who were also registered hotel guests staying on the same floor, entered the room," the statement read.
The Breakers Palm Beach continued:
"Our security staff, surveillance measures, and coordination with law enforcement worked properly and enabled swift response to hold the suspects accountable."
Both Gusich and Lichay, who are from Melrose Park, were subsequently arrested at 2:26 a.m. and booked around 10 a.m, with their attorney later calling the incident a "misunderstanding."
"My clients maintain their innocence. This was a misunderstanding. There was no intention to defraud anyone of their property. They were there for a bachelorette party. It was nearly 2 a.m., and they were not up to no good," Brian Pakett of The Pakett Law Group representing Gusich and Lichay told the outlet.
Gusich, who has 366,000 Instagram followers and whose account is currently unavailable, is facing two counts of larceny, while Lichay is charged with two counts of grand theft involving amounts between $20,000 and $100,000. Both are also facing one count of burglary each.

Meanwhile, Tina Trombetta and Vince, who have lived in Melrose Park for 30 years, where both Gusich and Lichay are from, said she was shocked by the pair's actions.
"I'm just shocked someone in my neighborhood would do something like that. Would be involved with something like that," Tina said.
She continued:
"I just didn't think anybody in this area had money like that."
Vince added, "Middle-class neighborhood, working-class neighborhood, this block here is mostly retired people."
The incident also prompted mixed reactions from internet users, with one Instagram user writing:
"Lot of frauds around south Florida acting rich."
"So glad they got caught! The Breakers is a safe place and you should be able to leave your door unlocked or leave your things unattended and not have to worry about someone stealing from you," another user wrote.
"Stop these dumb corny influencers coming to Palm Beach making film promoting tourist. Crowds are changing for the worse lmao," a third user commented.
"Why in the world someone leave Hermes and Chanel in a hotel room with the door left ajar????" a fourth user questioned.
