Ethan Jamieson, known for his appearance in the 2012 film The Hunger Games, has been arrested on charges of assault with a deadly weapon. The former child actor, now 27, is accused of firing a weapon at three men.
The incident took place in Raleigh, North Carolina, on the night of March 23. According to the Raleigh Police Department, they received a call regarding a shooting in the city shortly before 10 PM. One of the victims told the police that he was in his vehicle with two other men when an unknown suspect appeared on an e-bike and fired a shot at them.

The police later identified the suspect as Jamieson, and he was taken into custody on April 8. He is now facing three felony counts of assault with a deadly weapon with intent to kill. Jamieson was denied bail a day after his arrest. His next court hearing is scheduled for April 30.
Talking about the probe, the Raleigh Police Department said in a statement to People magazine, “During the course of the investigation, detectives identified Ethan Jamieson (27) as the individual who discharged a single gunshot in the direction of the victims’ vehicle.”
According to the police, Jamieson used a 9mm semi-automatic handgun to assault the three men. The victims have not been named publicly. They have only been addressed as J.M., K.W., and E.F. in the court documents. The motive behind the alleged crime remains unclear at this time.
This is not the first time that Jamieson has found himself in trouble with law enforcement. His arrest documents reveal that he was previously detained in March 2025 for resisting a public officer in Raleigh. The former actor was sentenced for the offense on March 26, 2026, while police were still investigating the assault with a deadly weapon case.

Jamieson shot to fame by playing Bravura, the male tribute from District 4, in The Hunger Games. Before starring in the dystopian action blockbuster, he made a brief appearance in the teen drama One Tree Hill in 2009. The show marked his acting debut. He then played a role in the 2010 TV movie The Rusty Bucket Kids: Lincoln, Journey to 16.
Apart from his fiction roles, Jamieson appeared as himself in Extras: The Hunger Games and The World Is Watching: Making the Hunger Games, which featured behind-the-scenes footage of the film. In 2013, he made his final on-screen appearance, playing Milo Truth in FX’s Western drama Justified.
Jamieson has stayed away from the camera ever since. He made it clear back in 2012 that he wanted to live a normal life. Following the release of The Hunger Games, Jamieson had an interview with Lancaster Online, in which he revealed that he did not want to pursue acting as a full-time career. “I want to be just a normal person,” he said at the time.
