Florida man shot and killed in motel room, suspect arrested by police

A Florida man was shot and killed in a motel room, despite no apparent argument or dispute leading up to the shooting, authorities said.

Tampa Police were called to a motel near Ybor City around 11:30 p.m. on April 19 after it was reported someone had been shot and killed, according to authorities.

After police arrived, they found the victim’s body on the floor of a third-floor motel room and one shell casing near the body, police said.

Arrest

According to three witnesses, they told detectives they saw Kyle Bradshaw, 21, armed with two weapons before the shooting happened.

One of the witnesses said they saw Bradshaw shoot the other man, whose name has not been released by police, according to reporting by Tampa Bay Times.

Detectives searched Bradshaw’s apartment and found a handgun that used the same caliber ammunition as the casing that was found in the motel room, authorities said.

According to witnesses, there were no arguments or disagreements that happened between anyone inside the motel room before the shooting took place.

Bradshaw was booked into the Hillsborough County jail and charged with first-degree murder, according to police. He is being held without bail.
