Florida Mom Wildly Attacked Son, Cut Him With Glass After He Accused Her Of Cheating On His Stepfather

A 32-year-old mother from Miami, Florida, was arrested after she allegedly attacked her son. She physically assaulted the 12-year-old and used a glass bottle, resulting in serious contusions to his face and body.

The incident occurred when the boy interrupted his mother’s phone call with a man. The boy believed the man was someone with whom she was involved outside her marriage to his stepfather. A criminal complaint against the mother was filed after an official from Child Protective Services documented the incident.

According to the report, Lucianny Lizbeth Luna picked up her son from school on April 16 and began driving him to Gwen Cherry Park for sports practice. As she drove, she was reportedly on a call with a man. Her son believed the man was someone with whom she was involved outside her marriage to his stepfather.

At one point, the boy attempted to interrupt Luna’s phone call and corrected something she said. His mother responded that she was taking him to the park to play, but the boy was dissatisfied. He then responded, saying, “I'm not going to play, it's just so the coach can go to pick me up.”

Within seconds of the exchange, Lucianny Lizbeth Luna became angry and began hitting her son. She struck the boy, slapped him, grabbed and pulled his hair, and hit him on the back of his head. Luna struck her son about 18 to 19 times before using a glass bottle.

The boy later said in a statement that he suffered an injury to his head from the repeated blows. The responding Child Protective Services officer also described the extent of the injuries.

He stated, “The victim stated that when they were closer to his residence, she then attempted to slash him with her keys. The victim tried to deflect the strike, but the key stabbed him in his right palm. I observed a small laceration on his right palm.”

Once home, the boy immediately told his stepfather that Lucianny Lizbeth Luna was on a call with the “other man.” In response, the stepfather said, “I’m tired of you doing this,” before telling his son to take a shower.

When he returned, the stepfather asked him what he had said about his mother earlier. As the child began to respond, Luna began hitting him again. She injured his eye while the man tried to restrain her.

As the boy fled to his room and locked the door, Lucianny Lizbeth Luna yelled from outside, saying, "I want to kill you. You're not my son. Come out the door, and I'll kill you with anything I have.” Terrified, the boy hesitated to dial 911 for help. He instead contacted his aunt via Instagram, asking her to contact his grandparents, who could pick him up.

After her arrest, Luna denied hitting her son on the back of his head or face. She claimed not to remember the subsequent strikes. She was booked into the Turner Guilford Knight Correctional Center and charged with child abuse with great bodily harm. On April 17, she posted a $5,000 bond.
