The victim, who has not been identified publicly, was friends with the group for two years; they were all students at Del Valle High School in Texas and were classmates. The victim was tricked by the group of four into leaving their high school on Feb. 19 under the ruse of grabbing pizza. When they left the school, three of the suspects drove him to a house instead of a pizza place, where the fourth suspect was waiting, according to documents.
The group spoke normally in the detached garage of the house for about an hour before the four suspects made the victim sit in a chair placed in the center of the room. The victim, in an interview with police, said their attitudes in the room suddenly changed.
Details of the Incident
The four defendants then bound the victim’s hands, feet, and mouth with duct tape, according to the victim. The four teenagers then took turns holding a gun to his head as they viciously beat him with an aluminum baseball bat, a walking cane, and a belt, according to the affidavit.
Lemus-Perez, one of the 17-year-olds, allegedly heated a box cutter with a lighter and held it against the victim’s chest. At one point, Rojas Alvarado, one of the defendants, grabbed a chainsaw and machete and threatened to cut off the tortured teen's body parts, according to the victim, who also said a plastic bag was put over his head. The victim then said that, toward the end of the torture session, Rojas Alvarado said the victim was talking to his girlfriend and that he was told not to stop.
The victim said he was eventually cut loose and dumped at a separate location after the attackers deleted their number from his cellphone. According to the affidavit, he eventually made his way to a bus stop and reported the alleged attack to police..
