Man accused of shooting, killing person at Memphis gas station

Police have arrested a man who they say is responsible for shooting and killing a man at a gas station.

The incident happened Dec. 9 at a gas station on Riverdale Drive in Memphis, Tennessee, WREG reported.

A witness says the victim was in the middle of helping her with a task inside the gas station when they heard a loud commotion from the other end of the store between the suspect, Ricky Suell, and a woman, according to WREG.

When Suell left the store, the victim went to check on the woman, WREG reported.

Witnesses say the woman left the store, but shortly after, Suell allegedly walked back inside and started firing shots, hitting and killing the victim, according to WREG.

Suell then fled the scene, WREG reported.

Police were called and found a man who had been shot, according to WREG. He was taken to Regional Medical Center, where he died from his injuries.

Cops took Suell into custody on Dec. 10, where he admitted to shooting a man before leaving the gas station, WREG reported.

Suell was charged with second-degree murder and is being held on a $500,000 bond, according to WREG.
