According to authorities, a private party was taking place inside Morton’s Steakhouse at the hotel, but they did not know if those involved in the shootings were with that party, News 4 JAX reported.

Police said their suspect was 29-year-old Cory Hall, who turned himself in to police on Sept. 8. Investigators did not reveal how they tied Hall to the case.

He was charged with second-degree murder, as well as second-degree attempted murder and was booked into the Duval County Jail on a $1.5 million bond, authorities said.

In addition to Hall, 26-year-old Paige Gallon was arrested on Sept. 7 in connection to the shootings and charged with accessory after the fact, police said.

He was booked into Duval County Jail and is being held with no bond, News 4 JAX reported.
