The Florida killer was born on May 20, 1994, to teenage parents. His father, Steven Testasecca, also testified in his murder trial. Wilson grew up in Tallahassee, Florida. Later, his biological parents gave him up for adoption.

It was Cindy and Steve Wilson who took him in. During his murder trial, in a letter addressed to the court, his parents wrote, “Wade was a joyful child. Loved his parents. The system failed him on that fateful day in 2019. Please see it in your heart to not take our son.” The parents also said that Wilson’s drug addiction made him delusional.

Wilson already had a rap sheet before he was convicted of the murder charges. According to the Tallahassee Democrat, his arrest records date back to 2012. He was incarcerated in the Florida Department of Corrections for burglary and grand theft from November 2013 to September 2014.

In 2015, he was charged with sexual battery and kidnapping, but he was found not guilty. In 2018, he was a person of interest in the murder of Mike Williams, however, he was never formally charged. It was the 2019 crimes that finally led to his imprisonment for a long time.

Wade Wilson's story was previously shown on a Paramount+ documentary

Wilson met his victim, Kristine Melton, then 35, at a Fort Myers bar. Later that night, he went to the home of Jayson Shepard with Melton and another woman. In the morning, the trio left the place and went to Melton’s home in Cape Coral. After the second woman left, Wilson strangled Melton to death as she slept.

Wilson stole her car and went to see his girlfriend, where they had an altercation before she called the cops on him. The same day, the killer met Diane Ruiz, 43. She was walking alone when he approached her for directions.

Wilson lured Ruiz into his car, and when she tried to get out, he viciously attacked her. He then strangled her and pushed her out of the car. He then ran her over 10 to 20 times. Wilson allegedly confessed his crimes to his biological father.

He was arrested after the information was passed on to the authorities. On August 27, 2024, Wilson was sentenced to death for these murders.
