Kahlil John, 19, posted a video of the clash to Instagram on May 2. The footage shows an older white woman confronting the black teenager as he stood on a homeowner's porch in central Florida. The clip has since spread widely online, drawing criticism from viewers, who questioned the woman’s behaviour and raised concerns about race.

“ You’re trespassing,” the woman shouted in the video. “Three days in a row.”

“This is my first day here,” John replied. “ I never talked to you.”

John later said he had never seen the woman before the encounter. He said the incident left him confused and frustrated.

The confrontation happened as strong winds picked up in the neighbourhood. In the video, the woman repeatedly yelled, “Leave! Leave!” And threatened to call the police. At one point, she muttered, “these people,” while the homeowner remained on the porch and laughed during the exchange.

John said he had been going door-to-door to promote his new business and build a customer base. While rejection is common in sales, he said this interaction stood out.
