Klaudia Zakrzewska, 32, was allegedly run over by Gabrielle Precious Carrington, 29, near the Inca venue on Argyll Street in central London. The incident occurred in the early hours of April 19.
Zakrzewska’s family described the week she spent in the hospital as a “living hell.” “Klaudia touched many hearts, and we are all in agony,” a relative told The Sun. They added that her “kind heart” began to fail in the days following the incident, as her organs gradually shut down.
Following her tragic death, many well-wishers paid tribute on social media. London-based influencer Sophia Ray wrote, “Truly heartbreaking. Praying for your soul; you didn’t deserve this. Condolences to your loved ones. RIP.”
“Rest in peace,” wrote California-based model and influencer Khloë Terae.
During the week she remained in critical condition, her mother shared an emotional message: “My daughter is currently in a coma and desperately fighting for her life. This is the most devastating time our family has ever faced. Anyone who knew my beautiful daughter knows how truly wonderful she is. She has touched so many people with her pure heart and kindness.”
A GoFundMe page was later set up to help cover medical expenses and potential legal costs. In the fundraiser, her mother added, “If at any time things take a turn for the worst, additional funds will go toward funeral costs and ongoing support for the family.”

The incident resulted in multiple casualties. A 58-year-old man sustained critical injuries and was taken to the hospital, while a woman in her 30s suffered minor injuries.
Carrington was initially charged with attempted murder following her arrest on April 19. Police were called to the scene at around 4:30 a.m. after reports of a black Mercedes crashing into pedestrians.
After Zakrzewska’s death, the charge was upgraded to murder. Carrington also faces additional charges, including dangerous driving, being nearly twice the legal drink-driving limit, and causing injury to two other individuals.
She appeared at Westminster Magistrates’ Court on April 21, where she was remanded in custody. Her next court appearance is scheduled for May 19 at the Old Bailey.
Detective Chief Inspector Alison Foxwell said, “We would like to express our deepest sympathies to Klaudia’s family and friends in light of this tragic update. Our thoughts are also with everyone impacted by this incident.”
“We recognize that this case has generated significant interest and discussion on social media; however, we would urge the public to refrain from further speculation. We also ask that people do not share graphic footage out of respect for Klaudia's loved ones and for those who have been injured. The circulation of such material could also undermine our ongoing criminal investigation and potentially prejudice future court proceedings,” the investigator added.
