Man Accused of Making Chilling Threats Against Late Wife’s Former School After Circling Campus 15 Times

Alex Reichert is accused of threatening staff and students at the Missouri school where his late wife worked as a teacher.
A 36-year-old man has been accused of making serious threats against the school where his late wife once worked, allegedly blaming staff members for her suicide in March.
Authorities say Alex Reichert terrorized employees and students by repeatedly parking outside the school, circling the campus, and making threatening remarks. Reichert allegedly visited the school at least 15 times, leaving staff and families fearful for their safety.
Prosecutors allege Reichert made numerous online threats targeting St. Charles High School, where his wife, Skye, worked as a teacher. He also allegedly targeted a female staff member who was “involved with Alex and his wife” and is described in court documents as his “paramour.”

Inside the Allegations Against Reichert
According to Law & Crime, Reichert and the staff member ended their relationship, but he later began blaming her and the school for his wife’s suicide. Prosecutors allege he stalked the woman as well as students set to graduate earlier in May.
He has been charged with making a terrorist threat and stalking. “The suspect has lost his job, his wife and his paramour,” prosecutors alleged in a May 14 bond request. “His behavior and social media posts indicate he has nothing left to lose and will take his anger and frustration out on innocent civilians.”
Prosecutors accused Reichert of engaging “in a pattern of harassment and stalking affecting not only [the staffer], but the entire community,” according to court filings.
Authorities further alleged that Reichert “possesses guns and implied that he will use them” at the graduation ceremony. “The suspect presents a danger to [the staffer] as well as the attendees of the ceremony and community.”
“The suspect has already been served with an order of protection and continues on his campaign of harassment and stalking. The victim has pursued all legal remedies for self-protection and yet, does not feel safe going to work because the suspect’s behavior escalates,” prosecutors said.

St. Charles Police Lt. Daniel Gibbons told KSDK that Reichert placed a bumper sticker on his car reading, “I’m unpredictable.’”
“It’s been very scary,” a high school senior said. “It makes students uncomfortable.”
Alex Reichert has been charged with making a terrorist threat and stalking.
Gibbons and prosecutors also alleged that Reichert made “a lot of different comments” online referencing countdowns. “All of those countdowns all ended on this Sunday, which is the graduation for St. Charles School District,” Gibbons said.
A criminal complaint states that Reichert “communicated an implied threat to cause an incident or condition involving danger to life … by making social media posts with a countdown to an incident that will occur at an upcoming ceremony implying the use of guns and a fight.”
Disturbing Messages Shared Online
In a social media post, Reichert allegedly wrote, “For the teachers she worked with that immediately erased her and all the work she did: you can continue to teach, but students will always be reminded of your role as people who treat others this way; as people that selfishly erase people and don't show any support to people around them.”
“They deserve better teachers who don’t continue to gossip and spread rumors, particularly when based on exaggerations and harmful lies, without actual evidence of wrong doing. But there’s plenty of examples that can be shared in time to help show the difference.”
Prosecutors said Reichert and Skye had filed a defamation lawsuit against a staff member in March, before her death.
According to KSDK, the staff member allegedly sent emails to Reichert’s employer claiming he had shared photos on social media showing him providing alcohol to children and engaging in inappropriate behavior with them, including allegations of s----- abuse.
It has not been confirmed whether the staff member named in the lawsuit is the same person prosecutors say Reichert threatened.
Reichert was ordered held without bond and is due to appear in court in late May.
