Man Allegedly Slams Autistic Daughter’s Head Into River, Internet Calls For Action As Video Goes Viral

A video has gone viral on social media showing a man being abusive towards a little girl. The clip was shared on Reddit by a woman who claimed that the man was being abusive towards his daughter.

Some social media users have identified the man as Adrian Phillips. The woman was sitting by a river in Maple Ridge when she noticed the Phillips dragging his little daughter from the water. She captured the alleged abuse on her phone.

As seen in the footage, the man was allegedly slamming the girl into the river and even slapped her on the head. The video has been shared on several social media platforms. However, it remains unclear whether the authorities had been informed about the alleged abuse yet.

On X (formerly Twitter), one user shared the clip, writing, “A woman at a local river in Maple Ridge allegedly noticed a man being abusive to his daughter, so she started recording. She captured a man whose name is surfacing online as Adrian Phillips grabbing his young daughter, slamming her into the river, and slapping her in the head.”

According to the user, the little girl had autism. She “was losing her balance while crossing the river when he grabbed her by her clothing and submerged her.” Social media users were shocked to see a man’s behavior toward the little girl, which appeared to be intentional abuse.

“Absolute coward. Assaulting a defenseless kid and calling it parenting is pure evil. If this is how he acts in public, imagine the hell she faces at home. He belongs in a cage, not around children,” one user wrote.

Another added, “I hope the right people see this, and that little girl is removed from that house; if he is so comfortable treating her like this in public, I can only imagine what she goes through at home, poor sweet little girl.”

Some users also criticized the woman who filmed the incident, as she allegedly took no action to stop the man. “Good thing she’s sitting cross-legged in her comfy chair while the girl gets slapped. Call the RCMP; don’t be a social media star over a child’s wellbeing,” one user wrote.

People are now urging Maple Ridge RCMP to take strong action against the man.
