Around 8:30 a.m. July 9, Peel Regional police said they were called to the scene of an unconscious man lying on the sidewalk in Mississauga, a suburb of Toronto.

When police arrived on the scene, they found Orlando Donaldson, 39, who was injured, officials said and the CBC reported.

Medical personnel tried to save his life, but Donaldson died from his injuries at the hospital hours later, authorities said.
