Man Threatens ‘I’m Going to End This Tonight’ Before Attacking Sister and Friend With Knife and Hatchet

Chandler Walden was charged with two counts of attempted murder after the brutal attack on March 15.
A man in New Hampshire allegedly attacked his sister and her friend with a hatchet and a knife following an argument earlier in the day. On March 15, 29-year-old Chandler Walden was taken into custody by deputies with the Londonderry Police Department (LPD).
One of the victims told police that Walden yelled before the attack, “After all the years of abuse, it ends tonight. I’m going to end this tonight.”
Timeline of Events
Authorities received a call at approximately 8:50 p.m. reporting a stabbing on Chase Road. When officers arrived, they found two victims outside the residence suffering from multiple stab wounds. Both victims had injuries in the head and the torso.
“Officers and bystanders rendered medical aid and learned the suspect had retreated to his residence and was known to the two victims,” the LPD said in a press release.
Deputies then entered the home and arrested Walden, who reportedly did not resist. According to the New Hampshire Union Leader, Officer Martin Bourque wrote in his arrest warrant, “While detaining Walden, I noted he had blood on his neck and hands. While conducting a pat-down of Walden, I asked if he had any weapons and (he) replied he had left them in his room.”

In court documents, prosecutors alleged Walden “purposely attempted to cause the death” of the two women by “striking [them] with a hatchet and steak knife, both deadly weapons in the manner they were used,” with both victims suffering multiple injuries.
Victims in Serious Condition
Police said both victims were transported by the Londonderry Fire Department to area hospitals in serious condition, suffering from multiple stab wounds and lacerations. One of the victims told police that “Walden was spraying Febreze around the house when he began to yell” before the attack.
Because of the severity of the incident, members of the Detective Division responded to process the scene. Walden declined a bail commissioner hearing and was held at the Rockingham County House of Corrections.
A probable cause hearing has been scheduled for 10:30 a.m. on March 25.
The investigation into the case remains ongoing, authorities said.
