Megyn Kelly has weighed in on controversies involving Sydney Sweeney—backing her during the American Eagle jeans ad backlash, but criticizing her choice to wear a see-through dress at Variety’s Power of Women event.

Now, the journalist is again speaking out, saying she was “disgusted” by Sweeney’s involvement in Season 3 of Euphoria, where her character Cassie is portrayed in controversial storylines.

What Did Kelly Say?

Megyn Kelly criticized Sam Levinson, the creator of Euphoria, calling the content “sick” and accusing it of “sexualizing infancy” through Sydney Sweeney’s character.

“She’s in a baby’s outfit. She’s sucking on a binky pacifier, and her legs are completely spread,” Kelly said. “You can have a laugh, of course, because I shocked you. But the truth is, this is like sexualizing infancy. And some of the write-ups about this are like, ‘It’s a pretty common kink.’ Getting turned on by a baby? What? So this is sick.”

The host of The Megyn Kelly Show added that she could not believe Sweeney agreed to take part in the scenes.

“Frankly, I can’t believe she agreed to this. There’s also a picture of her dressed as a dog and being led around on a leash,” Kelly said. “There are reports of Sam Levinson injecting nudity into Sydney Sweeney scenes so often that she actually went to him and said, ‘Please stop doing this. It is very grotesque.’ He constantly wants the woman to take their clothes off for scenes that don’t require them to be nude at all.”

Hollywood needs to draw a line- Kelly

Kelly said that scenes like these should not be normalized in the industry.

“I think this is another example, guys, of Hollywood not understanding at all where the line is and how most normal people are going to recoil, even Sydney Sweeney fans, in response to what’s essentially the sexualization of a child, of a baby,” she added.

In Euphoria season three, Cassie is planning her wedding with Nate (Jacob Elordi), but he won’t let her spend the amount of money she wants on flowers, so she decides to make money by becoming an OnlyFans star.

Sweeney’s Sheer Dress Controversy

After Sweeney’s appearance on the red carpet of the Variety event in October, Kelly said the actress decided to show off her “enormous br*asts.”

“So she was on the red carpet last night and she decided to show off her number one asset, which, contrary to the American Eagle jeans ad, is not really her jeans, it’s her enormous br*asts, which are spectacular,” Kelly said, according to Just Jared.

“No one would take that away from her. But, controversial opinion, I object to this. I disapprove of the dress she wore because it’s completely see through. You can see her entire nipples,” she added.

“She reminded me of Kim Kardashian who overshares and then takes away the thing that is the sexiest, which is every guy’s hoping to be the one who actually sees them for real, and leaving a little to the imagination. Now, I know this is being universally celebrated online, but I have to say, even though [I am] Sydney Sweeney fan, love the jeans campaign. I thought, ‘This is a rare misstep’… Draw the line at areola!”
