As the search for Nancy Guthrie has entered its third month, new details are emerging about the morning she was reported missing. Savannah Guthrie recently revealed that when the family reached Guthrie's home on February 1, they found the back doors propped open.

Sources quoted by NewsNation have now claimed that Guthrie’s house was perfectly clean when investigators first entered. Insiders described the place as ‘ordered and immaculate’ and stated that it showed no signs of an assault.

With this new information, an expert has deduced that the kidnappers had pre-planned the crime and successfully executed it.

Expert says kidnappers had pre-planned the crime.

Former Pima County homicide detective Kurt Dabb recently appeared for an interview with Brian Entin, during which he said about the orderly condition of the house indicates the kidnappers carried out a well-coordinated plan.

“It's just a little bit weird that there's not a lot of disarray in the house, but then again, this individual, or individuals, as I believe, that it's more than one, they had a plan, and they carried it to fruition, successfully so far,” Dabb said.

The ex-detective also expressed surprise over the neat condition of the crime scene, despite blood being found at the front porch. Entin asked him whether a lack of disarray at the crime scene would pose a challenge for investigators.

Dabb then responded, “In one aspect, yes, because you don't know if there was an assault occurred because nothing got disturbed, but I think in the grand scheme of things, the biggest thing that matters is the blood spatter at the front door because we know that there was an injury and we know that that injury was to Nancy.”

During the interview with Entin, Dabb reiterated that Nancy’s kidnapping could not be carried out by a single individual, and at least two to four accomplices were responsible for the crime. “I believe there are anywhere between two to four accomplices,” he previously said in an interview with Parade.

Dabb added, “The logistics of something of this magnitude is too much for one person to handle, in my professional opinion, based on the facts as I know them right now.” Highlighting how the kidnapping was pre-planned, the retired detective said at the time, “It’s more than likely the home was canvassed prior, either by the kidnapper himself or an accomplice.”

Nancy Guthrie has been missing since February 1. For the past two months, the Pima County Sheriff’s Office and the Federal Bureau of Investigation (FBI) have been trying to locate her. A number of independent investigators and self-styled journalists have also flocked to Nancy’s neighborhood near Tucson, Arizona, to gather clues about her disappearance.

But none of the efforts has proven to be successful, as Nancy’s kidnappers have still not been identified or arrested. Her family is offering a million-dollar reward in exchange for information that could help trace her.
