One of Nancy Guthrie's neighbors has come up with information that could potentially help solve the case. The 84-year-old mother of Today host Savannah Guthrie has been missing from her home in Catalina Foothills since February 1. The Federal Bureau of Investigation and the Pima County Sheriff's Department have been investigating the case for over a month without a major breakthrough.
Guthrie’s neighbor, Aldine Meister, has now revealed that she saw a suspicious man near her house a few days before the disappearance. Meister, who has lived in Catalina Foothills for 30 years, spoke about the incident during an interview with journalist Brian Entin.

During the interview, Meister said a man dressed in unusual clothing appeared in the neighborhood on January 11, about three weeks before Guthrie went missing. Recalling the incident, Meister said, “I have a picture window in my bathroom, and I see all the people walking by in the mornings. [I saw] a strange guy with his hat down really low.”
Meister said the man was dressed in street clothes, which she said is unusual for residents in Catalina Foothills. “He was kind of hunched over, not in, you know, walking or hiking gear,” Meister said, adding that she was alarmed enough to alert her husband.
Meister said she vividly remembers the incident as she rarely sees strangers in the neighborhood. “I see the same people. They're people I know, my friends. Yeah, so no, I think once, maybe 12 years ago, I saw a strange guy,” Meister said.
She said she could not see the man’s face because his hat was pulled down low. Meister said the man appeared to be looking at Guthrie’s home as he walked down the street.
“He wasn't going terribly quickly, like a normal person that's getting exercise; he's kind of going slowly. And when he walked by this street, he really took a long look at it [Guthrie’s house]. I noticed that,” Meister said.
Meister Has Informed the FBI About the Man

Meister said she shared the information with the FBI after agents canvassed the neighborhood. “I told the FBI the day after they came here, and I discussed that with them,” Meister added.
Nancy Guthrie was last seen on January 31 when her family members dropped her home after dinner. She was reported missing after failing to attend a virtual Church service on February 1. Ever since, the case has received widespread attention, but investigators have not been able to track Guthrie so far.
Her family has promised a $1 million reward to anyone who comes up with information about her. The FBI is currently investigating whether a Wi-Fi jammer was used by the alleged kidnappers the night of the abduction. Several people in Catalina Foothills reported internet glitches around the same time when Guthrie was taken from her home.
