Nick Pasquel was convicted on May 8, 2026, for an attempted murder charge on Allie Shehorn, who was his estranged girlfriend at the time. According to court documents reported by Entertainment Weekly, the jury had convicted Pasquel of all the charges he had pleaded not guilty to.
The court documents mentioned the jury had found two special allegations against Pasquel, related to the charge of attempted murder: the cause of great bodily injury under circumstances involving domestic violence and the use of a deadly weapon, according to the reports of Entertainment Weekly. However, Pasquel was also convicted of three counts of injuring a spouse, cohabitant, fiancé, boyfriend, girlfriend, or child’s parents, as well as one count of first-degree burglary.
Pasqual was also convicted of one count of forcible r--e stemming from an incident a month before the attack. According to court records, Pasqual’s sentencing is scheduled for June 2 in Los Angeles. He faces a maximum sentence of life in state prison.
Shehorn took the stand during the trial with visible scars on her neck and arms, according to KABC. Shehorn, a Hollywood makeup artist, testified that her relationship with Pasqual had turned abusive and that she had obtained a restraining order against him.
Shehorn also recalled one violent fight that precipitated their breakup. “I locked the door, and he just stared, punching holes in that door and breaking it open, and I just ran into the bathroom because I thought there was another lock in that door,” she added, according to the reports of ABC News.
The Los Angeles County District Attorney’s Office previously mentioned that Shehorn was repeatedly stabbed at her residence in Los Angeles’s Shadow Hill neighborhood, early in the morning of May 23rd, 2024, according to the reports of the Los Angeles Times. The prosecutors alleged that Pasquel broke into the apartment and attacked Shehorn with a knife and fled the scene. Authorities ultimately stopped him at the Sierra Blanca border checkpoint in Texas.
Pasquel had contributed to 44 episodes of the web sketch comedy show National Day Riff. He had also appeared in small roles in projects such as Zack Snyder’s Rebel Moon and the dystopian drama The Road.
