BROOKLYN JOGGER FINDS DISMEMBERED BODY ALONG BROOKLYN SHORELINE, NYPD INVESTIGATING

A man’s dismembered corpse was found in Brooklyn on Tuesday after it washed up on the shoreline.
First responders found the trunk of a man’s body with a leg attached. The head, arms, and other leg were missing, according to the New York Daily News.
A jogger running along Shore Parkway found the body at about 12:45 p.m. Monday.

The body was badly decomposed, the New York Daily News reported. It’s unclear whether the body was dismembered before it entered the water, or whether parts broke away during the decomposition process.
First responders searched the water for the remaining body parts, but they were not immediately located.
