A man has been arrested after police say he killed his 91-year-old mother nearly five months ago in Ohio.
Essie Mae Henry’s body was found in a bush near the intersection of Warrensville Center and Colony Roads in South Euclid, Ohio on Sept. 4, as FrontPageDetectives previously reported.
Her death was ruled a homicide from blunt force injuries, WKYC reported.
“There were bumps and bruises on her body,” said Euclid police Officer Joe Dilillo in a statement at the time.
He also said that Essie Mae Henry was known to take frequent walks in the area.
Authorities offered a $5,000 reward for any information, but the case soon went cold, according to WKYC. Following an “extensive investigation,” officials obtained a warrant for Marcus Henry’s arrest before taking him into custody this week, WKYC reported.
